Design Artwork in Ceramic Glazed Masonry

Ceramic Glazed Brick and Tile are typically used for structural walls (6” or 8” units) or veneers (2” or 4” units), however, regardless of the function, you can achieve creative art designs.  Installed by your local mason in one step using type N or S mortar, these units will give you the wall and finish in each single unit.

Creative art designs are typically crafted by the architect and submitted to Elgin Butler where they are infused into the masonry unit using permanent ceramic pastes and glazes.  Once the designs are in place, the units are fired at temperatures greater than 2000°F, which permanently bonds the clay glaze to the clay body of the unit.

The benefits of ceramic glazed clay masonry include:

  • Combine colors, textures, sizes, and shapes for a one-of-a-kind look
  • Will never fade
  • Chemical and impact resistant for high traffic areas
  • Impervious surfaces for walls exposed to graffiti
  • Cleans with soap and water

When adding creative elements to your next project, consider Ceramic Glazed Masonry. Visit www.elginbutler.com to download the Long Form Specification(s).
